  1. My Thursday morning lives with The Absence streaming quietly through the office. Melody Gardot is a regular on my list of morning French Jazz artists, and settling into her voice this early feels like an easy habit coming back around. There's a hush in this music that suits the hour, warm without asking much of me, letting the coffee and the morning light do the rest.
